my dearest friends came back for a short stay on their way home from vacation in denmark. so good to meet their boys again! even fergus the king honored us with his presence outside the house!

to load a deerhound

...can be as difficult as to load a horse, but for total opposite reasons - all six dogs want to come with (even though it's just two of them going) and tries to squeeze themselves in through the side doors, all at once. except for maybe one reluctant passanger who took the fast route straight out again through the opposite side door. *fooled*

"hey guys, get in the car now, it's time to go home!"

"okey, best to do as the lady says."

"it do looks kind of comfy in here. is free champagne included?"

"hey duncan, you are not going in the car. you live here, remember."

a six pack of deerhounds, please!

my dear friend ankie has been visiting us with her two deerhounds for a couple of days. with six deerhounds in the house, it has been a bit crowded in the hallways, and a bit messy at night. but at the same time completely...completely wonderful!

harris and duncan became new bffs. being so cute together!

harris is from the same danish breeder (crathlint's) as our angus. you can spot the similarities.

harris the asparagus

say hello to harris (the asparagus) from denmark. he is my best friend ankie's latest addition, almost the same age as my own little twins. at first glance he looks just like a regular deerhound...

but he really has a crazy side.

his biggest interest is ballet.

and he loves hedgehogs (only stuffed ones, thank goodness).

on top of that, he has an endless supply of energy. when everyone else has given up for the day, harris just keeps on going and going...
